ADELE JOHNSON: After a successful start in the recording industry, Adele Johnson recorded a second independent CD, Unconditionally , in August of 2001, and enjoyed invitations to sing on the Miracle Channel, Big Valley Jamboree Gospel Celebration, Alberta Women of Country Music, as well as many local events and several of her own sold out concerts, featuring guests such as George Canyon, Daniel Gervais, Brett Kissel and Image of Country. Adele joined the Country Gospel Music Association in 2006, where she received the Silver Heart Award for Canadian Songwriter of the Year. She received this award again in 2007 and 2008, qualifying her to be on the international ballot. Along with the privilege of
travelling to Branson for this international convention, she was offered an opportunity to record her third CD. "What Love" was recorded at "Studio 14A" in Hollister (Branson), Missouri in October 2008, and so a new adventure begins! Adele's music is honest, sweet and sincere, telling stories and painting musical portraits of everyday triumphs and heartaches, drawing on her experiences as a Christian, a farmer's wife and homeschooling mom to relate her optimism through heartbreak, which she joyfully relates to her audiences on her acoustic guitar, accompanied by husband Ralph on bass and background vocals. While continuing to farm with Ralph in Vilna, Alberta on their commercial cow/calf ranch and homeschooling their children, Adele continues to share her God-given gifts of songwriting and singing, a joy and privilege she does not take for granted.
